Alexander Vindman

Vindman has never held elected office and has no congressional voting record; the Vindman with a House voting record on Israel-aid measures is his identical twin brother, Rep. Eugene Vindman of Virginia. His own campaign platform, the 'Florida First Agenda', contains a foreign-policy section that does not mention Israel, Gaza, military aid, arms sales or boycott-and-divestment questions at all. In a June 1, 2026 FOX 13 Tampa Bay interview he described himself as a strong supporter of the U.S.-Israel alliance but said no ally should receive a 'free pass', said the war in Gaza had gone on too long, and backed a long-term two-state solution. After the U.S. House rejected Rep. Thomas Massie's amendment to strip $3.3 billion in military and humanitarian aid to Israel on July 15, 2026 (314-104, with 103 Democrats in favor), the Florida Phoenix asked Vindman how he would have voted; by the Phoenix's account he 'did not give a direct answer', instead saying nobody gets a free pass, criticizing the Netanyahu government over West Bank settlements, calling the war too long, affirming that he is 'committed to the security of the state of Israel as a generational partner of the U.S.', and saying the Middle East does not need 'simple black-and-white calls' but someone who will 'call balls and strikes'. As of July 27, 2026 no statement was found in which he says whether he would vote to cut, condition or continue U.S. weapons or funding for the Israeli government. On the money and endorsement side, the Jewish Democratic Council of America endorsed him on June 17, 2026 (a group Jewish Insider lists among those that publicly opposed the Massie amendment), while AIPAC has endorsed his potential Republican opponent Moody and Florida Politics reported on June 5, 2026 that 'No AIPAC donors have given Vindman money according to the most recent records.'
