Marla Fernandez
Fernandez has not spoken publicly on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. A survey answer previously credited to her turned out to be another candidate's entry.
Fernandez is running for Governor of Colorado. No statement by her on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians, has been located.
An earlier version of this card quoted a 2022 candidate questionnaire answer. The questionnaire page turns out to be Greg Lopez's iVoterGuide profile, and the quoted words are not on it. The quotation has been withdrawn rather than re-attributed. The research page records what was checked.
Colorado’s governor has no role in federal aid or arms decisions.

Verification, 2026-08-12: a wrong-person attribution, caught before publication
The first search recorded, as her 2022 candidate questionnaire answer on U.S. foreign policy and Israel: "Defend Israel but promote liberty and a republican form of government worldwide. Need to stop meddling in other countries." It cited this iVoterGuide page and cited the same page for another Colorado candidate in this group, which is what prompted the check.
The page was rendered in a browser on 2026-08-12 and read in full, 1,477 words. Three things are true of it:
- It is the candidate profile of **Greg Lopez**, Republican, a former mayor of Parker who sought the Colorado governorship in 2018 and 2022. iVoterGuide candidate id 41544 belongs to one person.
- The name Fernandez does not appear anywhere on it.
- The quoted words do not appear on it either. The only Israel-related item on the page is a question about the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement, answered "Disagree".
So the quotation was attached both to the wrong person and to a page that does not contain it. It is withdrawn from this card. It is not moved to the other candidate's card either, because the words are not on the page for him or for anyone.
What came back empty or unusable
- Nothing at all from the 2026 governor campaign.
- No statement located on U.S. aid to Palestinians, UNRWA or Gaza humanitarian funding.
- The single in-scope item the first search returned was a wrong-person attribution.
