Julian C Beaudion
No position by Beaudion on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel was located on any page we could open. His platform is domestic throughout. He has pledged to refuse money from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which is a fundraising pledge, not a weapons position.
Beaudion is a former South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper and a Sioux Falls restaurant owner, and he won the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate. He has never held federal office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks are his.
His campaign platform, which he calls the People's Platform, runs to universal healthcare, education, the economy, Social Security, immigration and congressional accountability. There is no foreign-policy section and nothing on U.S. weapons, U.S. money, conditions on that aid, or funding for Palestinians.
The one item on the subject that can be read at all is about his own fundraising. In May 2026 he posted a commitment to run a grassroots campaign and to refuse what he called dark money, naming the American Israel Public Affairs Committee among the sources whose money he would not take. Refusing a lobbying group's donations is a statement about how he pays for a campaign. It says nothing about how he would vote on an arms sale, and this card does not treat it as though it did. The blog that reported the post also reported that the graphic he attached had been taken from his independent opponent's campaign page without credit, and that he later removed it.
Two posts on his own campaign page are reported to carry a good deal more, including a statement that the United States should be supporting the people of Palestine. Neither address opens to us. Both are written out on his research page, and they are the reason the card says nothing was found on a page we could open rather than saying nothing exists. - [Unconfirmed, reported as 2023-05-10] A fresh search reported a post on his own campaign page reading, in part: "Yes, Israel is America's ally but it is my belief that they are wrong and we should be supporting the people of Palestine just as we are supporting the people of the Ukraine." The address is https://www.facebook.com/julianforsd/photos/maybe-i-need-to-be-educated-more-but-im-seeing-a-ton-of-support-for-israel-and-v/797936565673799/ . It belongs to his campaign's own page and its path carries wording consistent with what was reported, but it returns an error to us, twice, with a desktop browser user agent. Nothing from it is quoted and it is not on the card. This is the single highest-value retry on this candidate: if it opens, this card changes shape.
Characterization of the conflict
- [Unconfirmed, reported as 2023-10-09] The same search reported a follow-up comment of his describing the conflict as a complex issue with a history running back to 1917, saying Hamas had hurt both Israeli and Palestinian people while the government of Israel had brought far more pain. Same carrier problem; nothing from it is used. It would in any case be dated inside the reaction window.

- [Position, 2026-05-24 as reported] Dakota Free Press reports a post, screen-capped there as dated early May 2026, in which he committed to a grassroots campaign and to rejecting what he called dark money, and named the American Israel Public Affairs Committee as a source he would never take cash from. The band date here is the date of the report, not of the post, because the post's own date comes only from a caption on a screen capture. This is a campaign-finance pledge and is not a position on U.S. weapons or funding. The same report says the attached graphic was copied without credit from the independent candidate's campaign and that the numbers on it in fact showed corporate money to the incumbent rather than money from the committee named.
