On July 15, 2026 Mullin said he voted yes on an amendment to cut military and other funding to Israel, "to send a clear message to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: stop the wars and seek peace in the region," adding that "Iron Dome and other purely defensive funding would not have been affected." In the same statement he called Netanyahu's war in Gaza "a horrific and disproportionate response to the brutal attacks by Hamas," said he opposes settlement expansion and violence in the West Bank, and said the U.S.-Israel relationship "will need repair and a full reset in a post-Trump and post-Netanyahu world."
His earlier aid record runs the other direction on the votes he has explained. In February 2024 he opposed the Republican standalone Israel aid bill because it omitted humanitarian aid for Palestinian civilians and excluded Ukraine. In April 2024 he voted for the bipartisan foreign aid package, saying it helped Israel maintain defensive capabilities against Iran and delivered humanitarian assistance for civilians in Gaza.
