Huffman co-sponsored the 2026 Ceasefire Compliance Act to bar U.S.-origin weapons from use in Gaza and the West Bank if Israel violates the ceasefire, keeping defensive missile aid. He rejects a total cutoff of U.S. aid to Israel and calls Gaza's starvation of children "inexcusable".
On February 25, 2026 Huffman co-sponsored the Ceasefire Compliance Act, Rep. Sean Casten's bill to ban the use of U.S.-origin weapons in Gaza and the West Bank if Israel violates the October 2025 ceasefire, annexes the West Bank, or fails to combat settler violence, while exempting defensive missile systems such as Iron Dome. He said: "U.S. weapons should never be used in ways that contribute to civilian deaths, forced displacement, or obstruction of lifesaving aid anywhere," adding that at a moment of "catastrophic civilian suffering and deepening starvation, these guardrails are not optional."
On August 1, 2025 he said: "Starving children, blocking medical supplies, shelling ambulances and shooting aid workers and desperate civilians trying to get food for themselves and their children is inexcusable," and said he has challenged the Netanyahu government to stop obstructing aid deliveries. His House policy page records opposition to expanding unrestricted arms funding to Israel. A June 30, 2026 press release announced a vote to block U.S. support for Israel's war in Lebanon.
He does not support ending U.S. aid to Israel. In a February 2025 KZYX interview he rejected activist calls to "block all funding to Israel," calling the internal Democratic fight over Israel aid "misplaced energy and activism" that hurt the party. Welcoming the January 2025 ceasefire, he said: "This war has gone on far too long, taking countless innocent Israeli and Palestinian lives."
Earlier record: in January 2017 he co-sponsored a two-state resolution and called West Bank settlement expansion an existential threat to a two-state solution, saying criticizing it is "anti-settlement, not anti-Israel."
