Kim wrote in an April 2024 op-ed urging aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan that "weapons and other aid provided must be targeted and used as intended." In May 2024 she said the Biden administration should stop playing political games over paused weapons shipments to Israel.
In an April 8, 2024 op-ed for The Hill, Kim urged Congress to support Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, writing that "Israel is defending its right to exist against Hamas terrorists" and that "weapons and other aid provided must be targeted and used as intended, and my colleagues and I on the Foreign Affairs Committee are continuing to conduct oversight of aid that has been sent by the United States." That oversight sentence covers U.S. aid to all three allies, not Israel alone. In May 2024, after the administration paused certain bomb shipments, she said the administration needed to stop playing political games with Israel's security. She voted for the Israel aid bills on the site's badge list.
On October 7, 2024, she co-introduced a bipartisan resolution condemning Hamas's attack one year on and urging release of the hostages held in Gaza. In the weeks after October 7, 2023, she condemned the attack as unprovoked, said she wholeheartedly stands with Israel, called it on the House floor the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust, and co-led a letter from nearly 90 lawmakers pressing UN Women to condemn Hamas's sexual violence.
As history: in February 2022 she traveled to Israel on a delegation organized by the American Israel Education Foundation, an AIPAC affiliate, meeting Israeli and Palestinian leaders. In July 2023, after a House resolution on the U.S.-Israel partnership, she said in a video statement that Israel is not a racist or apartheid state.
