On July 14, 2026 Sánchez co-sponsored the Block the Bombs Act, saying: "I oppose providing offensive weapons to Prime Minister Netanyahu and his far-right government without meaningful safeguards or accountability." In the same statement she said she has supported "defensive aid for close American allies," including Iron Dome funding, and that "lasting peace will only come through diplomacy and dialogue, but that cannot happen until Israel's attacks end and civilian lives are protected."

During the first months of the war she condemned the October 7 attacks and joined a resolution standing with Israel (October 10, 2023), then called for a humanitarian pause (November 3, 2023). On December 18, 2023 she said she was heartbroken by Palestinian civilian deaths, called the "indiscriminate bombing in Gaza" "alarming and unacceptable," and said "Israel's right to defend itself is not without bounds and must comply with international law."

She welcomed the January 2025 ceasefire agreement as a step toward ending the violence, freeing hostages, and delivering humanitarian aid. She condemned Iran's October 2024 missile attack on Israel and said in June 2025 that a nuclear-armed Iran poses a grave threat to Israel. She currently represents CA-38 and is running in the redrawn 41st district.
