Rich McCormick

Republican · U.S. House, Georgia District 7

McCormick led 104 House members demanding answers on delayed weapons shipments to Israel: "I sent a bipartisan letter to President Biden with 104 of my colleagues to demand the President give us answers as to why he is holding up critical weapon shipments to Israel."

McCormick represents Georgia's 7th District and is running for re-election.

He organised the largest congressional push against the paused munitions. His May 2024 release records him leading 104 members and states his reasoning: "This afternoon, I sent a bipartisan letter to President Biden with 104 of my colleagues to demand the President give us answers as to why he is holding up critical weapon shipments to Israel in their war against an evil terrorist organization. These continued, purposeful delays are not only hurting Israel but..." He adds: "Biden is undermining Israel by withholding munitions needed to target Hamas. In defiance of Congress, Biden's decision greenlights Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran to escalate attacks."

He returned to it in June 2024, joining a follow-up statement condemning the continued withholding of heavy munitions and arguing that congressional emergency aid must be delivered without executive delay.
