Lupe Castillo

Republican · U.S. House, Illinois District 4

Castillo's candidate survey answer says: "Israel should be allowed to protect themselves they were attacked for no reason," and "As for Palestine we should send them food and medical supplies for the people. Unfortunately, Hamas is hiding within these people." No position located on military aid packages.

Castillo is the Republican candidate for Illinois's 4th District.

Her position is in her own words in a Ballotpedia candidate survey, read in full. Answering what public policy she is passionate about, she wrote: "Foreign policies and wars, we must support those that have been attacked for no sensible reason. NATO needs to do their part in supporting Ukraine." She continued: "Israel should be allowed to protect themselves they were attacked for no reason, just for the fact they are Israel. As for Palestine we should send them food and medical supplies for the people. Unfortunately, Hamas is hiding within these people."

That is a statement about what the United States should send in each direction: support for Israel's right to act, and food and medical supplies for Palestinians. What it does not address is any specific package, transfer or condition, and the research found no statement from her on those.

The research also turns up her describing the U.S. relationship with Israel as covering "health care, energy and pharmaceuticals" and noting its role as a long-standing regional ally. She has no federal voting record.
