La Shawn Ford

Democrat · U.S. House, Illinois District 7

Ford turned down support from the AIPAC-affiliated United Democracy Project because, he said, he would not support unconditional U.S. military aid to Israel. No fuller statement of his position was located.

Ford is an Illinois state representative and the Democratic nominee for Illinois's 7th District.

His one located statement on U.S. military aid is reported rather than published by him. In February 2026 JTA reported that he "said he turned down support from UDP because he would not support unconditional military aid to Israel," UDP being the United Democracy Project, the super PAC affiliated with AIPAC. Declining a super PAC's backing is a decision about his own campaign; the reason he gave for it is the part that speaks to what the United States sends, and that is why the card carries it.

If you want his position on the aid itself, you are better placed to get it than we are. Ask Ford directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in his own words.
