Dawicki, 30, is chief operating officer of Northeast Maritime Institute in Fairhaven, the maritime college his parents founded, and is running as an independent. His issues page sets out eleven areas: affordability, healthcare, education, campaign finance, debt, climate, innovation, immigration, diplomacy, taxes and government ethics. The diplomacy entry says the United States should use "diplomacy as our primary tool" and honor its alliances; it does not mention Israel, Gaza, Palestinians, weapons or foreign aid. His June 2026 interview with The Scope ranges over higher education, energy prices and shipping; Israel, Gaza and Palestinians do not come up, and his remarks there on the strikes on Iran are on the research page.
What does exist is context. His campaign biography records that as a young sailor he worked with the Fairhaven Project, "a conflict resolution initiative for Palestinian and Israeli high school students who sailed onboard S/V Fritha together". That is an experience, not a position on what the United States sends.

- [Position, read 2026-09-05] Context, not a position: his campaign biography (page dated 2025-03-21 in its metadata) says that as captain of the brigantine S/V Fritha he ran youth sail-training programs and that "As a youth himself, he had the distinct pleasure of working with the Fairhaven Project, a conflict resolution initiative for Palestinian and Israeli high school students who sailed onboard S/V Fritha together." The Scope's introduction to its interview repeats this. His bachelor's degree, per the same page, was in international affairs with a focus on conflict resolution.
