Lynne Walz

Democrat ยท Governor of NE

Lynne Walz (D) is the Democratic nominee for Nebraska governor in the November 3, 2026 general election, having won the May 12, 2026 Democratic primary. She is a former two-term Nebraska state senator from Fremont (Legislative District 15, 2017-2025) and was the 2018 Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor. She is a distinct individual from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. No public statement or position by Walz on U.S. weapons or aid to Israel, conditioning of aid, Gaza, UNRWA, boycotts/boycott-divestment-sanctions, or Israel Bonds could be located. Her July 2026 campaign platform ('Lynne's Commitment to Nebraskans') is entirely state-focused (budget, taxes, medical cannabis, veterans, school vouchers, government transparency) and contains no foreign-policy content; her Legal Marijuana NOW opponent Rick Beard publicly criticized her for ignoring topics including the Israel-Iran war and Pillen's comments about Palestinians. As a state senator she had no recorded floor vote on Nebraska's anti-boycott bill LB343 (2023-24), which was indefinitely postponed without a roll-call vote. This record is thin: no Israel-aid/weapons-related position found (CONFIRMED negative as of 2026-07-24).
