Donald Norcross
Norcross voted for the February 2024 Israel supplemental despite calling the Republican approach a political ploy: "the military aid in this supplemental is too important for the safety and security of the Israeli people."
Norcross has represented New Jersey's 1st District since 2014.
His February 2024 statement is unusual in this batch of research because it separates his objection to a bill's politics from his decision on its substance: he described Republicans reducing "the supplemental for Israel to a political ploy that is designed to divide America," said "I disagree strongly with their partisan approach," and then: "However, the military aid in this supplemental is too important for the safety and security of the Israeli people. That is why I supported the emergency legislation today."
He added: "Let me be clear: if a Ukraine supplemental, border security measure with the appropriate language, or Taiwan security bill was put to a vote today, I would have supported that legislation as well. But that was not our reality."
In February 2025 he co-introduced the United States-Israel Defense Partnership Act with Rep. Joe Wilson, which per the coverage proposes further collaboration on defence manufacturing and counter-drone and tunnelling technologies, and per the research would extend the U.S. War Reserve Stockpile authority in Israel through 2029.
In April 2024 he said of a local school walkout that Hamas is solely responsible for civilian deaths in Gaza; that release was not opened, so it is summarised rather than quoted.
