His April 2024 statement explains a vote against a package that funded Israel, and the reasoning is about American spending rather than about Israel: "Today, the uniparty D.C. establishment spent $100 billion securing other countries' borders but could not spare a cent to secure our own. My constituents' hard-earned tax dollars will fund the Biden Administration's missionless foreign policy agenda."
He then named what he objected to most: "Most troubling is the $9 billion in humanitarian aid for Gaza, which we know will fund Hamas terrorists."

**Read carefully, this is not opposition to aid for Israel.** His stated objections are to the scale of foreign spending, to border priorities, and to the Palestinian humanitarian aid in the same bill. - The October 2023 sentences attributed to him, "the acts of terrorism unleashed upon Israel this weekend are heinous and must be condemned in the strongest sense possible" and "unprovoked crimes against humanity," are attributed **word for word** to oh15-carey in the same batch of research, dated 8 October 2023. **Neither entry supplies a resolvable URL for it**: both entries resolve to nothing.
- Either both members issued near-identical statements, which happens with shared caucus language, or the research has mixed up two Ohio Republicans. It cannot be settled from what was found, so the phrase is used on neither card. This is the third instance of this shape in this batch of research, after Walter and Bean in Illinois and ga8-esti and ga10-delancy in Georgia.
