Ronny Jackson
Jackson introduced the U.S.-Israel FUTURES Act in 2026 to expand joint military research and co-production. He also moved to end U.S. funding for UNRWA permanently, the U.N. agency that aids Palestinian refugees.
Jackson represents Texas’s 13th District, is Republican co-chair of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus, and is running for re-election.
Both directions of the money question are on his record and both are bills he wrote. In February 2026 he introduced the United States-Israel Framework for Upgraded Technologies, Unified Research, and Enhanced Security Act, creating a bilateral Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative to accelerate joint research, development and co-production of military technologies. At a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing in June 2026 he defended expanded U.S. and Israeli defence industrial cooperation, calling criticism of the partnership "complete misinformation".
In February 2024 he introduced legislation to permanently end U.S. taxpayer funding to UNRWA, describing the agency as an "anti-Israel, anti-Jewish organization that promotes terrorism and anti-Semitism".
So he wants more U.S. money going into joint defence work with Israel and no U.S. money going to the U.N. agency that serves Palestinian refugees. The card names both recipients.
His earlier statements are in the same direction and predate October 2023: in May 2021 he said on the House floor that "Congress MUST continue its support for U.S. aid to Israel", and in September 2021 he backed reliable transfers of defence articles and criticized pausing Iron Dome funding, calling the alliance "non-negotiable". In 2022 he co-introduced a bill barring Defense Department funds from reaching Iran-backed groups.
