How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Two reviewers, reading the public record as a whole, agree: In his own campaign post he calls Israel a genocidal foreign state and condemns spending U.S. munitions doing Israel's bidding, which the genocide rule reads as good, and nothing he says supports continuing the weapons. Rable is a captain in the U.S. Army Reserves, a PhD candidate at Texas Tech and a former secretary of the Lubbock County Democratic Party. He is the Democratic nominee in Texas’s 19th District.
His position on U.S. weapons is framed around American readiness. In a statement on August 6, 2026 he criticized U.S. foreign and military policy for having "reduced our strategic stockpiles of munitions" while "doing the bidding of the state of Israel despite its ever increasing negatives on the United States". The same day he referred to Israel as a "genocidal foreign state" and wrote that Congress "must be forced to serve the American people and not the interests of genocidal foreign states".
On the conflict itself, in July 2025 he called for "the end of bombing Palestine" and said opposing domestic tyranny and ending the military action in Palestine "are intrinsically related". From early 2026 his campaign materials characterized the Gaza campaign as a genocide.
His statements about lobbying are separate from his position on aid and are on the research page. In February 2026 he wrote that military action had occurred "because the state of Israel told him to" and criticized opponents for following AIPAC’s "play book"; in August 2026 he described officials as "victims of an administration dominated by AIPAC owned politicians". Those are claims about influence rather than about what America sends, and a money-refusal or lobbying argument never carries a funding position on its own.
He has held no federal office and has no recorded votes on any of this.
