How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). Two reviewers, reading the public record as a whole, agree: Asked in an August 2026 Lone Star Left questionnaire whether he supports ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human rights abuses, including Israel and Egypt, he answered "Yes", with nothing pointing the other way. Reviewed by hand on 2026-10-09. This candidate has no recorded tracked floor votes.

Minton is the Democratic nominee in Texas’s 6th District.
This card previously reported that he had answered "Yes" to a question about ending U.S. military aid to countries committing human rights abuses, including Israel, and quoted him saying "No more funding rogue dictators. No more endless wars." **That was another candidate’s answer.** Re-reading the sources established that his own Lone Star Left questionnaire contains no occurrence of the word Israel, and that the quoted words belong to William Marks, a different candidate whose questionnaire from the same series was sitting in Minton’s sources found.
So there is nothing located on what the United States sends to this conflict, in either direction.
An initial search also reports that in July 2026 he opposed foreign military aid, supported an arms embargo and said American tax dollars should be invested at home. No source page was ever offered for that, and given that the questionnaire attribution turned out to belong to someone else, it is recorded on the research page as unverified rather than treated as his position.
What is his, and is not a position on aid: he has pledged not to accept AIPAC money and was endorsed in July 2026 by a group that tracks that pledge.

**Nothing located.** His candidate questionnaire was opened and read in full: the page contains **zero occurrences of "Israel"**. He is not asked about it and does not raise it.
⚠ **CORRECTED 2026-08-11: THIS RECORD CARRIED ANOTHER CANDIDATE'S ANSWER.** An initial search reported that in a survey published 2026-02-02 he answered "Yes" to whether he supported ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human rights abuses including Israel, with "No more funding rogue dictators. No more endless wars." That question and that answer are on the Lone Star Left questionnaire for **William Marks**, verified: the phrase "rogue dictators" appears on Marks's page and nowhere on Minton's. Marks's questionnaire was among Minton's sources found, which is how the two got crossed. The original card's own flag named this exact hazard and it had already happened on this record.
2026-07 [Current position; SOURCE DID NOT OPEN; now doubly doubtful]: An initial search reports he reiterated opposition to foreign military aid, supported an arms embargo, and said American tax dollars should be invested in domestic communities rather than funding wars overseas. No url was ever offered for it. Given that the questionnaire attribution on this record proved to be another candidate's, this unsourced item is not treated as his.
