Tom Tiffany
Tiffany's split votes are his own words' doing: he backed "providing additional military support to Israel in their ongoing war" while opposing the April 2024 package because, "Even worse," it "provides $9 billion for Hamas-ruled Gaza," filing an amendment against the U.S.-funded Gaza aid port.
Tiffany represents Wisconsin's 7th District and won the August 11, 2026 Republican primary for governor. His tracked votes split (for the November 2023 and February 2024 Israel bills, against the April 2024 one), and his own newsletter explains the split: the Tiffany Telegram of April 19, 2024 supported "providing additional military support to Israel in their ongoing war against Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists" while objecting that the broader package "provides $9 billion for Hamas-ruled Gaza" and funds "a temporary port facility in Gaza, paid for with your tax dollars," against which he filed an amendment. Arming the government of Israel and cutting U.S. money for Gaza aid infrastructure are two separate positions, and he holds both; his existing record quote calls the total "$95 billion in FOREIGN aid with NOTHING to stop the FOR[eign invasion]."
In March 2024 he said, in existing record quotes, "I believe Israel is within its rights to make sure that [it defends itself]" and "There are always humanitarian concerns in war, Israel h[as...]."
In July 2026 he faced criticism, per media reports behind paywalls, over a December 2025 appearance on a podcast whose host had made light of the Holocaust; the reports could not be opened and that episode is carried attributively.
