How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
Two reviewers, reading the public record as a whole, agree: In a March 2024 statement he says "I remain steadfast in my support for Israel to defend itself", with nothing pointing the other way. Reviewed by hand on 2026-10-09. This candidate has no recorded tracked floor votes.

Nothing located. His campaign site was read on 2026-08-17 and covers the economy, infrastructure, housing, education, the Permanent Fund Dividend and government reform. No federal foreign-policy content.
U.S. aid to Palestinians
[Position, 2024-03-13] In a statement published by Must Read Alaska after dozens of his campaign signs were vandalized, he tied aid for Palestinians to a condition: "The war will end and Palestinians will receive aid when the Hamas terrorists surrender and release their hostages, eight of which are American citizens." Opened with a desktop browser and confirmed word for word. He names no United States aid programme, so none is claimed here.
Characterization of the conflict
[Position, 2024-03-13] The same statement: "My campaign signs are apparently being vandalized for my support of Israel," he said, and then "So be it. I stand in solidarity with the people of Israel". Safety and antisemitism (context)
[Earlier record, 2021-09-29 to 2021-10-01] At Anchorage Assembly hearings on a mask mandate, protesters wore yellow Stars of David, and he defended the practice. After objections from local Jewish leaders he apologised, telling the Assembly, as The Independent reported: "I understand that we should not trivialise or compare what happened during the Holocaust to a mask mandate, and I want to apologise for any perception that my statements support or compare what happened to the Jewish people in Nazi Germany." The Jerusalem Post covered the same episode. This is context on how he has handled antisemitism as an executive; it is not an answer to what the United States sends, and it is not used as one.
