Felix Barry Moore
Moore urged the administration to reverse its halt on precision-guided weapons for the government of Israel, saying the decision "makes America look weak on the world's stage and could hinder Israel's ability to respond to future attacks". No condition on that aid appears in his record (research).
Moore represents an Alabama district in the U.S. House and is the Republican nominee for the state's open Senate seat.
In May 2024, with three colleagues, he wrote to the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State to ask them to reconsider halting the shipment of precision-guided weapons to the government of Israel. Six weeks earlier he had signed a letter condemning the administration's abstention on a United Nations ceasefire vote, saying: "The United States should continue to support Israel rather than undermining them as they fight for their very existence." His recorded votes run the same way, and in January 2025 he voted to sanction the International Criminal Court over its arrest warrants for Israeli officials.
He gives a religious reason for it. His profile on the candidate site Local Candidates carries his answer in full: "When asked my stance on Israel, my short answer is, I'm pro-Israel. I believe wholeheartedly in God's covenant with Abraham in Genesis", and he goes on that a nation must bless Israel to be blessed itself, and that he wants the United States blessed.
Nothing in the record attaches a condition to any of the weapons or the money. He has never said that a shipment should be paused, slowed, tied to conduct or reviewed, and nothing located here asks anything of the government of Israel in return. On the other question, what the United States sends Palestinians, he has said nothing about the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees or about humanitarian funding for Gaza. A September 2025 statement of his opposing other countries' recognition of a Palestinian state is reported to sit on his own Facebook page, which does not answer us. We could not verify this claim against any source we could open, so it is on his research page and not on this card.
