Amanda Noelle Pusczek
Pusczek opposes further aid while the war continues: "I do not support any further aide to Israel so long as violence continues", restarting it only under conditions ensuring "the safety and basic human rights of Palestinians", her answer to voters in an April 2025 online forum.
Pusczek is the Democratic nominee in Alabama’s 4th District, a registered nurse who won the May 2026 primary and now faces the sitting member.
Her fullest answers are her own, given under her name. In April 2025 she opened a question thread on a Huntsville community forum, introducing herself as a congressional candidate, and answered a voter’s question about aid: "I do not support any further aide to Israel so long as violence continues. Nor do I support restarting any form of aide until conditions have been met ensuring the safety and basic human rights of Palestinians." (The spelling "aide" is the post’s own.) In the same answer she condemned what she called an "on-going massacre of Palestinians" and criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for what she described as a "willingness to wipe an entire group of people from our planet if it means holding onto power", and pledged: "I am committed to not accepting lobbying funds from any foreign associated entity."
The questioner’s word for the war was "genocide"; her own answer does not use it, and this card does not put it in her mouth.
At the time of those answers she was campaigning in the neighboring 5th District; she switched races and won the 4th District nomination, a move covered by 1819 News. Two later statements reported from her campaign’s Facebook page (a May 2025 post on deaths in Gaza and an October 2025 post captioned "I stand with Gaza") sit on sources that do not open for us and are on the research page for a human to open.
Research
U.S. military aid and weapons to Israel
- [Position, 2025-04-17] Her answer in her own question thread on r/HuntsvilleAlabama: "I do not support any further aide to Israel so long as violence continues. Nor do I support restarting any form of aide until conditions have been met ensuring the safety and basic human rights of Palestinians." Verified verbatim via the old.reddit mirror (mirror address); the thread’s opening post self-identifies as "Hi, I’m Amanda Pusczek", and the answers come from the same account. Basis: a self-identified campaign account in her own forum thread; stated here rather than hidden.
- The same conditions-based position implies restart is possible; no statement of hers on specific bills, packages or amounts was located.
U.S. aid to Palestinians
- Her conditions language above centers "the safety and basic human rights of Palestinians"; nothing located addresses U.S. humanitarian funding as its own question.
Characterization of the conflict
- [Position, 2025-04-17] From the same verified answer: an "on-going massacre of Palestinians", and Netanyahu’s "willingness to wipe an entire group of people from our planet if it means holding onto power".
- **A word the research wrongly gave her:** the research reported she "referred to the military operations in Gaza as a ‘genocide’". Reading the thread shows "genocide" appears in the QUESTION she was answering (a different account’s words), not in her answer. Excluded, recorded as a research defect.
- [Position, 2025-05-29, unopenable source] A post on deaths in Gaza reported from a community-group post that does not open to automated readers: "burial shrouds for mothers and children... An attempt to eradicate a people..." per our research. It is not yet confirmed.
- [Position, 2025-10-04, video we could not watch] A video on her campaign page, captioned "Free speech is one of our most treasured rights. I stand with Gaza." We have not been able to open it, and the address our research recorded for it is not a working one, so we are not linking it and we quote nothing from it. Not yet confirmed.
Related rhetoric and lobbying
- [Position, 2025-04-17] From the verified answer: "I am committed to not accepting lobbying funds from any foreign associated entity. And intend to scrutinize any PAC funds that may be offered." General; names no organization; not written as a position on any particular lobby.
- No tracked funding badge appears because no committee support is recorded for her.
Safety and antisemitism (context)
- Nothing located.
Identity and race context
- Her campaign site and FEC filing identify her; the FEC id encodes her original 5th District filing, and 1819 News covered the district switch to the 4th. The April 2025 answers above were given while she campaigned in the 5th; they are hers regardless of district and are dated.
- Democratic nominee facing the sitting member, whose card carries its own record. She has held no federal office, so there are no recorded votes on this card.
