Hallie Shoffner

Democrat · U.S. Senate, Arkansas

Shoffner has taken no position we could open on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on aid to Palestinians. On the war with Iran she said there is no appetite "for an expensive, prolonged foreign conflict" and backed limiting the president's war powers (research).

Shoffner is a sixth-generation farmer, a first-time candidate, and the Democratic nominee against Arkansas's senior senator.

Her published platform is domestic. Her campaign's own priorities page, read again on 2026-08-18, runs from the cost of living and farming to healthcare, unions, Social Security and public safety, with nothing on foreign policy at all.

The nearest thing to a foreign-policy record we can open is about Iran, not Israel. Asked by the Arkansas Advocate in April 2026 about the war, she said she would have supported the congressional effort to rein in the president's war powers, and that "There is not the appetite for an expensive, prolonged foreign conflict because we have real problems right here at home." That is an argument about cost and about who decides on war. It is not a position on what the United States sends the government of Israel, and it is not treated as one here.

One caution belongs on this card rather than buried. A campaign video is reported to carry a far more direct statement from her about Gaza, and a pledge about which political money she will take. It sits on Facebook, which does not answer us, so we have not read it and nothing from it is used. Its address is on her research page. If you want her position in her own words, you are better placed to get it than we are: ask Shoffner directly and send us the reply.
