But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check

How this mark works

We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

See a dash? Ask the candidate where they stand, then send us their answer and we'll review it and update the mark. Or volunteer to help review candidates.

No recorded votes on the bills we track. We have not finished reviewing this candidate's public record yet.

Nothing located as of October 2026 has Benoit taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. Her campaign platform is about the economy, health care, immigration and public safety, with nothing on foreign policy.

Deep Dive

Tisha Benoit, a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine who grew up in the district and ran a health care practice focused on women's health, is the No Labels Party nominee in Arizona's 4th District. She won the No Labels Party primary on July 21, 2026 and faces Representative Greg Stanton, the Democrat, and Zuhdi Jasser, the Republican, on November 3. She has never held office, so there are no votes on this record.

This is an empty record on these questions. Her campaign site makes balancing the federal budget its central issue and says every part of government, "including defense", should justify what it spends. Its issues page sets out pillars on the economy, health care, government transparency, education, immigration, the opioid crisis and homelessness, law enforcement and data centers. None of it mentions Israel, Gaza or foreign aid. Her Ballotpedia answers, submitted on September 29, 2026, name health care, water security and economic opportunity as her three key messages, and her iVoterGuide profile carries no answers at all. At the district's debate on October 5, as Fox 10 reported it, she spoke about the cost of living, health care and data centers. An empty record carries no implication either way.

You are better placed to change this than we are. Ask Benoit directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in her own words, which is worth more than anything we could write about her.

Research log

The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.

Every page named below was opened and read on 2026-10-06 unless the entry says otherwise. Her campaign site was read in full: the home page, the budget page, the endorsements page, the issues page and the contact page, which are all the pages its menu lists. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07), Undated. Undated pages are recorded on the date we read them. Benoit has never held office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks is hers, and no funding from the committees this site tracks is recorded on this record. Nothing located on this subject falls in the reaction window.

U.S. military aid and weapons to the government of Israel

  • Nothing located, at any date. No statement by her about arms transfers, military aid, security assistance or any bill on those subjects appears on her campaign site, in her Ballotpedia answers, on her iVoterGuide profile, on the No Labels candidates page about her, or in the debate coverage read for this card.
  • [Position, read 2026-10-06] The one sentence on her site touching military spending at all is on her home page, in her case for a ten-year balanced-budget plan: "I want every part of government, including defense to justify what it spends." It names no program and no country.

U.S. aid to Palestinians

  • Nothing located, at any date.

Characterization of the conflict

  • Nothing located, at any date. The words Israel, Gaza, Palestinian, Hamas, Middle East, foreign aid and foreign policy appear nowhere on her campaign site or in her Ballotpedia answers.
  • [Undated, read 2026-10-06] Her iVoterGuide profile lists "Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?" with "Did not answer". All 32 of the profile's questions read "Did not answer" and every biography field reads "Candidate did not provide", so the blank is a fact about the guide's coverage of her, not a choice about this question.

Israel-related rhetoric and lobbying

  • Nothing located, at any date. Her Ballotpedia answers name as endorsers "Stand for Health Freedom; No Labels Candidates", and her endorsements page names Stand for Health Freedom. Neither is an organization on this subject.

Safety and antisemitism

  • Nothing located, at any date.

What her platform says

  • [Position, read 2026-10-06] Her home page: "I am running for Congress to make balancing the federal budget the central issue of this campaign." It proposes a ten-year plan, protecting Social Security and Medicare, attacking health care costs, and putting "both spending cuts and additional revenue on the table". Her budget page explains the debt in household terms under the heading "BALANCE THE DAMN BUDGET!".
  • [Position, read 2026-10-06] Her issues page lists, under "Her campaign focuses on seven pillars of renewal", sections headed Strong Economy and American Dreams; Public Health & Wellness; Transparency in Government; Education & Future Generations; Immigration Revision; Opioid Crisis Response & Unhomed; Law Enforcement & Fire Support; and Data Centers & Responsible Growth, followed by a passage on energy independence. The only foreign references are to "defense innovation" as part of Arizona's economy and to not "relying on unstable foreign sources" of energy.
  • [Position, submitted 2026-09-29; read 2026-10-06] Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey, dated by Ballotpedia's footnote. Key messages: "Healthcare Affordability & Access", "Arizona Water Security" and "Economic Opportunity & Government Accountability". Policy passions: "healthcare affordability, water security, education, economic opportunity, and government accountability." She answered every question; none asks about foreign policy, and she raised none.
  • [Read 2026-10-06] The We Are Independent USA page about her, on a site listing Arizona No Labels candidates, carries a first-person statement: affordability, health care, public safety, water, immigration and "the increasing cost of achieving the American Dream". Nothing on foreign policy.

The race

  • [Read 2026-10-06] Ballotpedia records that she defeated John Fillmore in the No Labels Party primary on July 21, 2026, 981 votes (65.4 percent) to 519, and lists her profession as health care. It says she is also known as Thalia. Ballotpedia says campaign finance information for her is not yet available from the Federal Election Commission.
  • [2026-10-05] Fox 10's report on the October 5 debate among Stanton, Jasser and Benoit covers the cost of living, health care, housing and data centers; it records nothing from any candidate on Israel or Gaza. It also reports that her March 2026 nomination paper named the Arizona Independent Party, whose website calls itself the No Labels Party of Arizona, and that the No Labels Party of Arizona did not endorse any candidate in this race. Hoodline's preview adds nothing from her.
  • [Read 2026-10-06] The Civoren profile is a summary written by that site, not by her, and is not used.

  • Her personal LinkedIn profile, listed by Ballotpedia: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tisha-benoit-a21a868/
  • Her campaign Instagram account, linked from her site, was not read.

Not on the card, and why

  • Her platform on the budget, health care, immigration, education, public safety, data centers and energy: out of scope, listed above so the absence can be checked.
  • The blank iVoterGuide profile: guide coverage, not a position.
  • The party-label history and the state party's non-endorsement: about the ballot line, not this subject.
