On January 14, 2026 Fong voted to advance the FY2026 appropriations bills; his release's highlights for the national security and State Department bill (H.R. 7006) include that it "supports key allies with $3.3 billion for Israel and $300 million for Taiwan." He is a cosponsor of H.R. 9374, the Stand with Israel Act, which would prohibit federal funding to foreign entities that boycott or penalize Israel; note the direction: that bill concerns cutting U.S. money to entities that boycott Israel, not aid to Israel or to Palestinians.
After attending Netanyahu's July 24, 2024 address to Congress, Fong released a statement, reported by the Kern Valley Sun, describing Israel as America's staunchest ally in the Middle East, framing the conflict as a struggle against evil forces, and quoting Netanyahu's line that when we stand together, we win; the article no longer opens for us, so those renderings are attributed rather than quoted, pending a check. On October 13, 2025 he welcomed the hostage release, called Hamas "terrorists" who committed "unspeakable evil," credited President Trump's leadership on the deal, and called for a "new dawn of peace across the Middle East."
Earlier, in the California Assembly, he co-authored a March 2022 resolution honoring Israeli-Americans that condemned violent antisemitic attacks and anti-Israel misinformation in California.
