Hilda Solis

Democrat · U.S. House, California District 38

Has not spoken publicly on U.S. military aid to Israel or aid to Palestinians; no statements found in source-checked research. Her public record on these questions is from local office: county-level actions on antisemitism, none of them federal aid or weapons positions.

Hilda Solis, currently a Los Angeles County supervisor and formerly U.S. Secretary of Labor (2009-2013) and a U.S. representative (2001-2009), is running for the House in CA-38, per Ballotpedia and Wikipedia. We found no statement or action from her on U.S. military aid or weapons to Israel, no characterization of the Israel/Palestine conflict, and nothing on Israel-related lobbying. Her prior House service predates the current conflict by more than a decade.

What the first search did find is local and safety-related: a reported January 2023 vote for a county motion directing the Sheriff's Department to report on antisemitic incidents (its only source would not open), and reported attendance at the Jewish Federation Los Angeles Hanukkah celebration in December 2025 (the covering article does not name her on the page itself). A third item found, a July 2026 county motion creating a $20,000 reward over antisemitic vandalism at the Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center, was checked and belongs to Supervisor Kathryn Barger, not Solis; it has been excluded as misattributed.
