The foreign policy plank of his campaign site, headed “Standing with Allies, Avoiding New Wars”, opens: “I support Israel because it is unequivocally in the national security interests of the United States.” It continues, about allies in general: “help allies with technology, training, and equipment; keep aid accountable; and reserve U.S. forces for extraordinary circumstances like saving American lives. We do not need boots on the ground and endless wars that cost too many American lives and treasure.” His list of things to push for is to “strengthen alliances through technology and intelligence sharing; require oversight and results for foreign aid; and keep U.S. troops out of open-ended foreign conflicts.”
