Ryan Fazio
Fazio has not addressed U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or U.S. aid to Palestinians. He has written at length about the conflict itself; everything we hold from him on it is dated, and it is set out on his research page.
Fazio is a Connecticut state senator and the Republican candidate for governor.
He has written about this war. A column of his in a local paper argues that there is no moral equivalency between Israel and Hamas, and that the defence of Israel is bound up with the safety of Jewish people everywhere. It is dated, and its date keeps it off this card; the column is linked in full on his research page so you can read it there.
What is not in it, and not anywhere else we found, is a position on what the United States sends. Nothing from him addresses weapons or military money for the government of Israel, and nothing addresses U.S. aid to Palestinians. A governor of Connecticut has no vote on either, so the silence is unsurprising, but it is still a silence.

- [Reaction window, 2023-10-20] **The unsourced claim in this record is now resolved.** The earlier pass carried a summary asserting that he had written an editorial defending Israel's right to self-defence, with no publication, date or address recorded anywhere, alongside a later check that found nothing. The column exists: it is "Never Again Still Means Never Again", published in the Greenwich Sentinel under his own byline as state senator, opened and read on 2026-08-18. In it he calls the attacks on Israeli civilians terrorism, writes that there is no moral equivalency between Israel and Hamas, and criticises what he describes as a radical-left worldview among some sympathisers of Hamas.
