But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check

Deborah Adeimy

Republican · U.S. House, Florida District 23
?
How this mark works

We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

See a dash? Ask the candidate where they stand, then send us their answer and we'll review it and update the mark. Or volunteer to help review candidates.

Two reviewers, reading the public record as a whole, agree: As of September 2026 her campaign website lists "SUPPORT ISRAEL" in a list that also names a strong military, law enforcement and the Second Amendment, without saying where she stands on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. Reviewed by hand on 2026-10-09. This candidate has no recorded tracked floor votes.

Nothing located as of September 2026 has Adeimy taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel. Her campaign lists “SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL” among the things she stands for and says nothing more; she has not answered a Jewish federation’s questionnaire on aid to Israel.

Deep Dive

Deborah Adeimy is the Republican nominee in Florida’s 23rd District, the Palm Beach County seat redrawn this year. She is a West Palm Beach financial adviser, a certified financial planner who has worked at JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Citi Global Markets, and a fifth-generation Floridian. This is her third run for the House and her first nomination: she lost the Republican primary in the neighbouring 22nd District in 2022 and again in 2024, then won the 23rd District Republican primary on August 18, 2026 with 73.7 percent. She faces Lois Frankel on November 3. She has never held office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks are hers.

Her campaign site names Israel on three of its pages, and each time it is a line in a list. The home page has a heading reading Deborah Supports, followed by six items, one of them SUPPORT ISRAEL, printed beside a Star of David. The issues page ends with seven more issues she cares about, one of them SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL, and her biography page carries a seven-item list of its own, again including SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL. None of the three items is a link, and no page on the site expands on any of them. Under community involvement she lists the Republican Jewish Coalition, where she gives her role as advisory and, on her biography page, as leadership, and the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. The Republican Jewish Coalition is a national organization that promotes Jewish involvement in the Republican Party and a strong United States relationship with the government of Israel; the federation is a local charitable and community organization.

Every page her site lists was read, along with its five news posts, three video pages and two event listings. The posts, dated March to April 2026, are about county corruption, an aviation dispute and her opponent. None of the words Gaza, Palestinian, Hamas, foreign aid, weapons or antisemitism appears anywhere in the site’s own text, and Israel appears only in those list items. She was asked the question directly. The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County put three questions to every candidate on the August primary ballot, the first of them on whether the candidate supports current levels of U.S. military and diplomatic aid to Israel and how they would respond to efforts to condition or reduce it, and publishes the answers unedited. Under her name the guide records Pending Response and all three answers are blank. The same is true of the questionnaire iVoterGuide, a conservative voter-guide organization, sent her in this cycle and in 2022: she answered none of its questions in either year, including its question on whether the United States relationship with Israel is important. She did fill in a Ballotpedia candidate survey in 2021, which does not reach this subject; the nearest she comes is a campaign message about United States leadership with a powerful military and stronger allies.

An empty record carries no implication either way, and a candidate can hold a firm view she has not yet set out in public. A voter in her district is better placed than we are to get an answer. Ask Adeimy directly and send us the reply: it goes on this page in her own words. What was read for this card, and what could not be opened, is set out on her research page.

Research log

The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.

Every page named below was opened and read on 2026-09-08 unless the entry says otherwise. Her whole campaign site was read: all fourteen pages listed on its own site map, all five news posts, all three video pages and both event pages. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07), Undated. She has never held office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks are hers, and no funding from the committees this site tracks is recorded on this record.

U.S. military aid and weapons to the government of Israel

  • [Position, read 2026-09-08] Her campaign site names Israel three times, and each is a line in a list of things she supports, with no sentence attached. The home page carries a heading reading Deborah Supports and six items: STRONG MILITARY, U.S. Constitution, LAW ENFORCEMENT, SUPPORT ISRAEL, Second Amendment, HONOR VETERANS. The Israel item is printed beside a Star of David. The issues page closes with a heading reading MORE ISSUES DEBORAH CARES ABOUT and seven items: STRONG MILITARY, SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL, WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT, LBGTQ+ RESPECT, HONOR VETERANS, OUR GREAT TEACHERS, SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT. Her biography page closes with a seven-item list of its own: STRONG MILITARY, RESPECT FOR WOMEN, U.S. CONSTITUTION, PARENTAL RIGHTS, HONOR VETERANS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL. None of the three Israel items links anywhere, and no page on the site expands on any of them.
  • [Position, page last updated 2026-08-17; read 2026-09-08] The 2026 nonpartisan primary voter guide published by the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. The guide says every candidate on the primary ballot for the offices it covers was offered the same three questions and that answers are published “exactly as submitted and have not been edited, fact-checked, or modified”. Its first question is: “Do you support current levels of U.S. military and diplomatic aid to Israel, and how would you respond to efforts to condition or reduce that aid?” Under the U.S. House District 23 heading, the entry reads “Deborah Adeimy (Rep.) - Pending Response” and all three answers are blank. The guide adds that candidates who were not on the primary ballot will be invited again before the November general election.
  • [Position, read 2026-09-08] Her iVoterGuide profile for this race. iVoterGuide is a conservative organization that researches candidates and sends them a questionnaire. All thirty-two of its questions are marked Did not answer, including “Is the United States’ relationship with Israel important, and if so why?” and its question on American foreign policy generally. Her biography fields on the same profile read Candidate did not provide. A form answered nowhere is a fact about the guide’s reach rather than about her, and nothing is inferred from it.
  • [Earlier record, read 2026-09-08] Her iVoterGuide profile from the 2022 cycle, when she ran in the 22nd District, is the same: thirty-five questions, every one marked Did not answer. One of them asked whether she supports the movement to boycott and divest from Israel and to press it over the occupied territories and the West Bank barrier. She did not answer it.
  • Nothing else located, at any date. No statement by her about an arms transfer, a weapons shipment, Foreign Military Financing, a dollar figure, a condition on aid, or any bill on those subjects was found on her campaign site, in her campaign posts, in either voter guide, or in the Ballotpedia survey she did complete.

U.S. aid to Palestinians

  • Nothing located, at any date. Neither her campaign site nor any page read for this card has her mentioning Gaza humanitarian funding, UNRWA, the aid pipeline, or Palestinians at all.

Characterization of the conflict

  • Nothing located, at any date. Nothing read for this card has her describing the war in Gaza, the October 7 attacks, Hamas, Palestinian statehood, a two-state framework, or applying any of the words genocide, apartheid, self-defense or terrorism to the conflict.
  • [Earlier record, 2021] In the Ballotpedia candidate survey she completed in 2021, for her 2022 run, the nearest approach is a campaign message: “United States LEADERSHIP with powerful military, strengthen partner allies, space defense and safety of American citizens above all.” Asked what she saw as the country’s greatest challenges over the next decade, she answered: “China, big tech, Biden military decisions causing exponential damage for years to come and strengthening Taliban, tidal wave uncontrolled immigration.” Her self-description on the same form says her work requires constant knowledge of “Global and Middle Eastern affairs”. None of that is a statement about what the United States sends to the government of Israel.

Related rhetoric and lobbying

  • [Position, read 2026-09-08] Under community involvement her home page lists, among about a dozen local and national bodies, “Republican Jewish Coalition Advisory” and “Jewish Fed. PBC”. Her biography page gives the first as “Republican Jewish Coalition Leadership” and says she supports “JFPBC” among other organizations. The Republican Jewish Coalition is a national organization that promotes Jewish involvement in the Republican Party and a strong United States relationship with the government of Israel. The Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County is a local charitable and community organization. The site gives no dates, no role beyond those words, and no statement made in either capacity. This is self-reported and is not corroborated anywhere that opened for this card.
  • [Earlier record, 2021] The same Ballotpedia survey lists among her affiliations the “Judeo Christian Republican Club”. No statement is attached to it.
  • Nothing located, at any date, on pro-Israel lobbying organizations, on political money connected to them, or on foreign agent registration.

Safety and antisemitism

  • Nothing located, at any date, in the way of a policy position or a public statement on antisemitism. Her three answers on that subject in the Jewish federation guide are blank.
  • [Earlier record, read 2026-09-08] Her biography page says of her Catholic high school: “While honor and Christianity were the guide, it was simple uniforms that highlighted, we are all equal.” It then quotes her: “It didn’t matter, all races, religions – we were friends and have great memories.” The dash is the page’s own. That is a recollection of her schooldays and not a position.

What else her campaign site says

  • [Read 2026-09-08] The issues page carries five headings with prose behind them: legal immigration, taxes and inflation, Florida water and over-development, the pharmaceutical industry and drug costs, and space exploration and defence. The home page carries the same five plus a section on the economy. Neither reaches this subject. The space and defence section is about competition with Russia and China.
  • [Read 2026-09-08] All five posts on her news page, dated 18 March to 25 April 2026, were read. Their subjects are alleged corruption in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County, a Justice Department suit against landlords, an aviation dispute, and her opponent. None is about this subject.
  • [Read 2026-09-08] The photo gallery, the videos page and its three video pages, the events page and its two listings, the contact page and the site map were read as well, along with the volunteer page and a local history page.
  • Her campaign site links two social accounts: https://www.facebook.com/DebAdeimyCongress and https://www.instagram.com/debadeimy/ . Neither was read for this card. They are printed here as plain text rather than linked.

The race

  • [Read 2026-09-08] Ballotpedia: “Incumbent Lois Frankel and Deborah Adeimy are running in the general election for U.S. House Florida District 23 on November 3, 2026.” Adeimy took 73.7 percent, 20,432 votes, against Paola Branda in the Republican primary on August 18, 2026.
  • [Read 2026-09-08] Her Ballotpedia page records that she lost the Republican primary in the 22nd District in 2022, placing second of five, and again in 2024, placing third of three, and that she “has not yet completed Ballotpedia’s 2026 Candidate Connection survey”. It also reproduces her 2022 campaign website, which carries the same five domestic issue headings and no mention of Israel.

Not on the card, and why

  • The domestic material on her campaign site and in her campaign posts: immigration, taxes, water, pharmaceuticals, space, corruption in county government. Out of scope, and listed above so the absence is checkable.
  • Her community affiliations, including the Republican Jewish Coalition. Belonging to an organization is not a statement by the candidate about weapons or money, and no position is inferred from one. Both are described above with a plain account of what each body is.
  • Her endorsements, which the home page lists as a partial 2024 list. Other people’s recommendations are not statements by her.
  • Her opponent’s record and answers, including the answers the Jewish federation guide publishes from other candidates in this race. Another candidate’s words belong on that candidate’s own card.
  • The material about her opponent on her own news page. It is about the incumbent, not about this question.
  • The Florida Politics report of the general election match-up and a candidate-profile aggregator page: neither host opened.
