But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check

How this mark works

We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

See a dash? Ask the candidate where they stand, then send us their answer and we'll review it and update the mark. Or volunteer to help review candidates.

No recorded votes on the bills we track. We found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

Nothing located has Sell taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. He answered a voter guide at length without reaching foreign policy, and his campaign site is domestic throughout.

Deep Dive

Sell is the Florida Forward Party candidate in Florida’s 4th District, an operational-excellence professional with a career in healthcare systems.

The absence here is his own rather than a gap in coverage. He answered the News4JAX voter guide at length: biography, systems-reform themes, his case against career politicians. Foreign policy never appears in his answers, while another candidate’s answers on the same guide carry detailed positions on U.S. aid to the government of Israel. His campaign site was rendered and read: 3,715 characters, all domestic. A candidate who wrote this much without reaching the subject has told you where his attention is, though not where he stands.

What was checked to reach that conclusion is listed on this card's research page. You are better placed to get an answer than we are. Ask Sell directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in his own words.

Where the absence was checked

  • [Consulted, read 2026-08-21] The News4JAX 2026 voter guide for this district, a multi-candidate guide read under his own heading per the standing rule. His answers run through his professional biography and systems-reform themes with no foreign policy; a different candidate’s answers on the same page carry explicit Israel positions, which is why the blank is his rather than the guide’s. The questionnaire test is satisfied: he used the form at length.
  • [Consulted, read 2026-08-21] His campaign site: domestic throughout, no Israel or Gaza content. The required own-site check.
  • [Consulted] His Ballotpedia profile and state filing record. Administrative and race facts only.

Race and status context

  • A third-party candidate in one of this cycle’s priority districts; the Texas candidate with the same surname in our records contributed nothing here and every carrier names him with his Florida biography. He has held no federal office, so there are no recorded votes on this card.
