Juliana Stratton
Stratton has staked out a position critical of the Israeli government's conduct in Gaza while stopping short of the party's left flank on cutting off U.S. military aid. In August 2025 she came out against the Sen. Bernie Sanders-led Senate resolutions to block certain U.S. arms sales to Israel (a position she shared with rival Raja Krishnamoorthi; rival Robin Kelly said she would have voted for them), while calling for Israel to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. At a February 2026 Democratic primary debate she affirmed Israel's 'right to safety and security' but sharply condemned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he should be removed or step down; she called for aid to Gaza and a two-state solution, and declined to give direct answers on whether additional conditions should be placed on U.S. aid to Israel or whether the Gaza war constitutes genocide. Jewish Insider characterized her as running to Krishnamoorthi's left on Israel but not as far as Kelly, and as trying to balance criticism of Israel with maintaining support among Jewish voters. Her Pritzker-funded super PAC attacked Krishnamoorthi over his vote for a resolution condemning the antisemitic Boulder attack (the resolution also thanked ICE).
