But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check
Kwabena Nkromo
Green · U.S. House, Michigan District 10
–No Position Found
How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
No recorded votes on the bills we track. We found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
Nothing located has Nkromo taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. His answers to Ballotpedia's 2026 survey are about community power, the regional economy and finishing the Flint water repairs.

Kwabena "Cubby" Nkromo is the Green Party nominee in Michigan's 10th District, a self-described grassroots civic leader and food-policy advocate who advanced from the party's convention in July 2026.
His campaign rests on three messages he set out in Ballotpedia's candidate survey in August 2026: give power to the people, build what comes next, and finish what has been left incomplete, starting with "finally resolving the Flint water crisis". His campaign site lists six planks, from replacing Flint's remaining water lines to affordable housing through community land trusts and regional agriculture. None of them touches foreign policy, and nothing else located has him speaking on Israel, Gaza or U.S. aid.
You are better placed than we are to find out where he stands. Ask Nkromo directly and send us the reply: it goes on this page in his own words.

What the campaign site and own pages say
[Position; live campaign page, read 2026-09-26] His campaign site, all seven pages (home, Meet Cubby, Why I'm Running, Build What Comes Next, US District 10, Green Party of MI, Connect), describes him as "a grassroots civic leader, better food policy advocate, Green Party organizer, and congressional candidate". Its platform page lists six planks: finishing the job in Flint, where it calls for federal money to "finish replacement of remaining water-service infrastructure all the way from municipal systems into affected homes"; a citizen-led regional economic plan; health care; education for the AI economy; affordable homes through community land trusts; and connecting rural and urban agriculture. Nothing on foreign policy, Israel or Gaza.
[Position, 2026-08-30] His Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey, submitted on August 30, 2026 and read in full. His three key messages are "Give Power to the People", "Build What Comes Next" and "Finish What Has Been Left Incomplete", the last beginning with "finally resolving the Flint water crisis". The policy areas he is passionate about are "community economic development, food and agriculture policy, participatory democracy, affordable housing and community land ownership, environmental sustainability, and education". Asked about the country's greatest challenges over the next decade, he named "our continued overdependence on fossil fuels, the economic displacement likely to accompany artificial intelligence and automation, and the erosion of public trust in democratic institutions". Nothing on foreign policy, Israel or Gaza.
[Position; read 2026-09-26] His campaign Facebook page, a politician's page under his name with the tagline Farmer Citizen - Food Rebel, showed recent posts about Flint, among them a walk through downtown Flint on July 25. Nothing on this subject was visible.
[Undated; read 2026-09-26] His blog on Medium, farmer-citizen.medium.com, which his Facebook page gives as its website, carries eight posts from November 2021 to January 2026, most about Stonecrest, Georgia; none is on this subject.
[Position, July 28, 2026 (the year is inferred from the post's subject)] A Green Party of Michigan Facebook post links a video of candidate interviews from the party's 2026 state convention in Detroit and lists him among those featured: "Kwabena Nkromo (Cubby)", "U.S. Congress MI 10th District". The video was not watched.
The race
The Michigan Advance general-election guide lists him as "Kwabena Nkromo – Green Party", one of three minor-party candidates on the ballot with Christina Hines (Democrat) and Michael Bouchard (Republican). The Michigan Department of State's candidate listing (https://mi-boe.entellitrak.com/etk-mi-boe-prod/page.request.do?page=page.miboePublicReport&electionType=GEN&electionYear=2026) lists him under the 10th District as the Green Party's candidate, filed on 08/03/2026 by convention.
