Charlotte Magoon
No citable source was found for Magoon’s reported statements on U.S. aid to Israel. Every source the gather offered is a Facebook group page that returns an error, and the one aid item predates October 2023. What it reported is preserved in the research notes.
Magoon is the Green Party candidate in Michigan’s 2nd District, nominated unopposed at the party’s convention on April 25, 2026.
There is material about her and none of it can be sourced. The gather reports rally notices calling to end U.S. aid to Israel, writing that describes the war in Gaza as a genocide, and poetry from her Jewish heritage about violence done in her people’s name. All seven sources are Kent County Green Party Facebook urls, every one returned 400, and none names her. The only item actually about U.S. aid is from September 2023, before the current position band, and the gather describes it as a notice she shared as a group administrator rather than her own words. It is set out in full on the research page.
You are better placed to change that than we are. Ask Magoon directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in their own words, which is worth more than anything we could write about them.
Research
U.S. military aid and weapons to Israel
- 2023-09-14 [Earlier record, before the position band; SOURCE UNRESOLVED; ATTRIBUTION WEAK, not used on the card]: The gather reports that as an administrator of the Kent County Green Party she shared call-to-action announcements for demonstrations in Grand Rapids carrying the demand "END US AID to Israel" alongside "STOP THE SIEGE on Gaza", and that these were reiterated for 2024 summer rallies. **No carrier resolved.** Two further cautions: the date is before 2023-10-07, so even if sourced it would be earlier record rather than a current position; and what is described is a group announcement she distributed in an administrative role, not a statement in her own voice. The 2024 reiteration is undated beyond the year.
U.S. aid to Palestinians
- Nothing located as a distinct position.
Characterization of the conflict
- 2023-09-14 [Earlier record; SOURCE UNRESOLVED]: The rally announcements above also carried the slogan "POWER TO THE PALESTINIAN RESISTANCE!". Recorded here as the wording of the group's announcement, which is what the gather describes, and not as a statement attributed to her.
- Late 2023 to 2024, undated [SOURCE UNRESOLVED]: The gather reports writing shared in her local party network characterizing Israel's actions in Gaza as a genocide, quoting: "With every bomb you drop in our name, our future is poisoned... But we are not avenged by this genocide / We are condemned by it." No carrier resolved and no more precise date given, so it could not lead a card even with a source.
Rhetoric and lobbying
- The gather's own verdict: no statements, policy papers or actions by her on Israel-related lobbying groups or political action committees.
Safety and antisemitism
- Late 2023 to 2024, undated [SOURCE UNRESOLVED; context only, never the answer to what America sends]: The gather reports poetry and reflective writing in which she speaks from her Jewish heritage about safety, faith and military action, quoting: "I do not flee from my Judaism in these times, I hold it closer / For it is not the evil we see / It is a salve. It is my people chanting 'never again' / It is my people who demand beauty and peace in our name..." No carrier resolved. It is recorded because nothing accurate is deleted, and it is handled as context, which is where safety and identity material belongs under the content rule.
- No policy proposal on antisemitism or hate-speech legislation was located.
Sources consulted and resolved
- Her Ballotpedia page and the 2026 MI-02 election page. Neither carries her position.
Consulted and unusable
- Six of the eight gathered sources are Kent County Green Party Facebook group urls, several of them the group root repeated, and all returned 400. None names her in retrievable text. Everything substantive the gather reported about her rests on these.
Not found
- No durable source for any statement of hers on what the United States sends to this conflict.
- No campaign website was located for her.
- This is a record of what was checked on 2026-08-11, not a claim that she has not spoken.
Also in this race: Ben Ambrose (Democrat), John R. Moolenaar (Republican) · All Michigan candidates.
