How this mark works

We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

Magoon is the Green Party candidate in Michigan’s 2nd District, nominated unopposed at the party’s convention on April 25, 2026.

There is material about her and none of it can be sourced. An initial search reports rally notices calling to end U.S. aid to Israel, writing that describes the war in Gaza as a genocide, and poetry from her Jewish heritage about violence done in her people’s name. All seven sources are Kent County Green Party Facebook urls, every one would not open, and none names her. The only item actually about U.S. aid is from September 2023, before the current period, and an initial search describes it as a notice she shared as a group administrator rather than her own words.   • 2023-09-14 [Earlier record, before the current period; SOURCE DID NOT OPEN; ATTRIBUTION WEAK, not used on the card]: An initial search reports that as an administrator of the Kent County Green Party she shared call-to-action announcements for demonstrations in Grand Rapids carrying the demand "END US AID to Israel" alongside "STOP THE SIEGE on Gaza", and that these were reiterated for 2024 summer rallies. **No source page opened.** Two further cautions: the date is before 2023-10-07, so even if sourced it would be earlier record rather than a current position; and what is described is a group announcement she distributed in an administrative role, not a statement in her own voice. The 2024 reiteration is undated beyond the year.

But we are not avenged by this genocide / We are condemned by it." No source page opened and no more precise date given, so it could not lead a card even with a source.

It is my people chanting 'never again' / It is my people who demand beauty and peace in our name..." No source page opened. It is recorded because nothing accurate is deleted, and it is handled as context, which is where safety and identity material belongs under the content rule.
