Mark Alford

Republican · U.S. House, Missouri District 4

Alford said in October 2024 that the United States must "stand shoulder-to-shoulder" with Israel "and ensure that they have the time, space, and resources needed to wipe out Hamas."

Alford has represented Missouri's 4th District since 2023.

His statement on the first anniversary of the October 7 attacks is his clearest in the position band: "On this solemn day, we reaffirm America's commitment to our great ally Israel. We must stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them in this fight and ensure that they have the time, space, and resources needed to wipe out Hamas." He also said: "We were sickened by the devastating attack on Israel by the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas one year ago. These vicious terrorists butchered innocent people, murdering men, women, and children."

The same release records that he had visited Israel in April 2024 and published a video of the trip, and that he planned to return.

In October 2024 he told Missourinet that Israel's operations in Gaza and Lebanon were a fight against Iranian proxies and that Israel has every right to defend itself. That outlet could not be opened, so the wording is the research summary's rather than a verified quotation.
