Scott Colom
Scott Colom (D) is a district attorney for Noxubee, Lowndes, Clay and Oktibbeha counties and the 2026 Democratic U.S. Senate nominee in Mississippi (won the March 10, 2026 primary with about 73%). As of July 2026 no public position by Colom on U.S. weapons or aid to the government of Israel, conditioning of that aid, Gaza leverage, UNRWA, or boycotts could be found. He holds no federal office and has no voting record on the issue. His campaign platform is entirely domestic — lowering costs, saving rural hospitals, bringing jobs home, protecting Second Amendment rights, and an anti-corruption message against incumbent Cindy Hyde-Smith. His official campaign site lists no foreign-policy or Israel-related issue page. NOTE: a widely circulated line that a Mississippi Senate candidate called himself the only one not 'beholden to the pro-Israel lobby' was spoken at the June 24, 2026 Neshoba County Fair by independent candidate Ty Pinkins, NOT by Colom; likewise, the AIPAC PAC donation reported in Oct. 2025 went to Hyde-Smith, not Colom.
