Ezell represents Mississippi’s 4th District, is the sitting member, and is a former sheriff.
His recorded votes on the tracked bills appear as badges on this card, all on the support side, including votes against both amendments to cut aid to Israel. On the aid-to-Palestinians side his located act is negative: his newsletter urged colleagues to pass the UNRWA Accountability and Transparency Act, defunding the UN relief agency over members’ involvement in the October 7 attacks.
In May 2024, antiwar activists confronted him in a Capitol hallway over aid; activists told the Mississippi Free Press he swatted a phone from a Palestinian-American woman’s hand, an accusation his office answered with a statement standing by his support for Israel; national coverage described an assault accusation. The episode is carried with each side’s words attributed.
