How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. ### Safety and antisemitism On January 19, 2020, while serving as President of the University of Montana, Seth Bodnar issued a campus-wide statement condemning an antisemitic email sent to nearly 400 faculty and staff members. The email contained flyers promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories.
In his January 19, 2020 message, Bodnar denounced the transmission as a "hateful email" expressing "ideas that are against everything Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for and that are counter to our shared UM belief in the dignity of every person". He told the campus community: "To all who received the email, we are saddened and diminished by this act of hatred, and we support you". He added that the university was investigating its origins, noted that building a welcoming and inclusive campus is "ongoing work that is, as the hateful email highlights, still necessary," and urged the university community to stand together against hate.
