### Safety and antisemitism On January 19, 2020, while serving as President of the University of Montana, Seth Bodnar issued a campus-wide statement condemning an antisemitic email sent to nearly 400 faculty and staff members. The email contained flyers promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories.

In his January 19, 2020 message, Bodnar denounced the transmission as a "hateful email" expressing "ideas that are against everything Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for and that are counter to our shared UM belief in the dignity of every person".
