Ford, Nevada's attorney general since 2019, is the Democratic nominee for governor against incumbent Joe Lombardo.
His February 2024 state disclosure shows a 2023 sponsored trip to Poland and Israel to "study antisemitism" and "Palestinian issues." In August 2026, Nevada appeared on a 21-state amicus brief defending Harvard against the federal effort to strip its funding over its handling of campus antisemitism. JNS reported that Gov. Lombardo said he was not asked before Nevada was added, and the filing drew scrutiny from Ford's opponents. State amicus filings run through the attorney general's office, and the reporting attributes this one to his office; the part of the page we could read does not name the filer.
On safety at home, after the 2022 Colleyville synagogue hostage crisis he reassured Nevada's Jewish community as patrols increased.
