How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. Tim Grady, an independent from Richland County, is a write-in candidate for governor, so his name will not be printed on the November 3 ballot beside the three party nominees. He is completing a master's degree in public administration at Ohio State University, formerly chaired the Ohio Forward Party, and in 2022 ran a write-in campaign for governor that he has described as "largely satirical".
His policy platform covers democracy and institutional reform, infrastructure and transport, energy, industrial policy, agriculture, health care, education, criminal justice and taxes, and his Ohio vision sets out plans for cities, education and infrastructure. Neither mentions foreign policy, and neither do his answers to Ballotpedia's candidate survey.

Its list for the general election names Amy Acton (D), Vivek Ramaswamy (R) and Don Kissick (L), and four independent write-in candidates, Grady among them (Ballotpedia race page).
[Position, 2025-06-25] The Associated Press reported his announcement of an independent bid for governor, and that he "ran what he describes as a “largely satirical” write-in campaign in 2022", finishing with 574 votes (AP).
