Suzie Byrd is the Democratic nominee in Oklahoma's 3rd District and faces Rep. Frank Lucas on November 3, 2026. She grew up in Hennessey, ran track and played basketball at Oklahoma State, has owned or been a partner in more than a dozen businesses, and spent close to four years reporting for the Enid News & Eagle before resigning to run. She has never held office, so there are no votes to set beside what she says.

This record is thin because very little of it exists in writing. She runs no campaign website; her campaign's presence is a Facebook page, which could not be read here, and her page on GoodParty is unclaimed and carries no positions. The candidate survey she filed with Ballotpedia on June 1, 2026 runs to four answers and names universal health care, affordable housing and a living wage, and a fairer tax code, with artificial intelligence and data centers as the policy she says she is most concerned about. NonDoc's guide to the June primary sets out the same list from her Facebook page. She has sat for two long interviews, one in May 2026 and one in August; both are video, and neither could be watched here. An empty record carries no implication either way.

The nearest thing to this question is not in her own words. Oklahoma Voice's guide to the June primary says she will not vote to increase defense spending. That guide states on its own page that it wrote those descriptions from candidates' campaign material rather than from answers the candidates gave it, so the sentence is the newspaper's summary and not a quotation from her. The size of the military budget is a different question from what the United States sends to the government of Israel, and nothing found says how she would vote on the second.
