In May 2024 Reschenthaler co-sponsored a bill barring the president from pausing or delaying deliveries of U.S. weapons to the government of Israel without notifying Congress. Asked in 2019 about U.S. funding for Israel's military, he said, "I’m for funding Israel. We have got to stand with our allies."

That bill, H.R. 8437, was written after the Biden administration held back a bomb shipment to the government of Israel in May 2024. Reschenthaler joined it as an original co-sponsor on the day it was introduced. It would require the president to notify Congress fifteen days before pausing, suspending, delaying or cancelling any delivery of U.S. defense articles to the government of Israel, and it states as the sense of Congress that previously approved arms sales should proceed and all pauses should be lifted.

The day after that bill was introduced he brought forward one of his own with Rep. Max Miller of Ohio, extending the financial and employment protections U.S. servicemembers receive under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and USERRA to American citizens serving in the Israel Defense Forces. "Over 20,000 American citizens are currently defending Israel from Hamas terrorists, risking their lives for the betterment of our ally," he said. A month later he welcomed the annual defense bill for, among other things, expanding U.S.-Israel military exercises and ensuring "our nation stands with Israel".

On money to Palestinians he has drawn a line. Asked in 2019 about U.S. taxpayer funding for the Palestinian Authority, he said he was against it, though he would accept funds going to schools, hospitals and other humanitarian work: "But if that money is going to pay the pensions of suicide bombers, that’s a problem." In 2022 the House Appropriations Committee adopted his amendment barring U.S. funds for a United Nations Human Rights Council inquiry into Israel's conduct in Gaza and East Jerusalem, which he called a blatant attempt to delegitimize Israel. In 2024 he co-sponsored a bill to impose sanctions on the Palestinian Authority and the PLO over payments tied to acts of terrorism.

His statements on the question stop in 2024. His congressional newsroom, read back through 2023, carries nothing on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel in 2025 or 2026; his statement on the U.S. strikes in Iran of March 2026 calls the operation a joint effort with Israel but says nothing about aid, and his campaign site's issues page does not raise the subject.
