But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check
Jenn Mack
Independent · Governor, Texas
Declared write-in candidate. Not printed on the ballot.

How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
No recorded votes on the bills we track. We found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
Jenn Mack Raphoon is a certified write-in candidate for governor, not printed on the ballot. Her platform pledges to defend Texas against "foreign interests" and never mentions Israel or Gaza. We found nothing from her on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or aid to Palestinians.
The email has replies@butwhatcanyoudo.org in cc, so we can post their answer on their page in their own words; remove it if you prefer. Keep the subject line as it is, add your name, and send.
Jenn Mack Raphoon is an independent candidate for governor of Texas who campaigns as Jenn Mack. She filed a declaration of intent as an independent but no application for a place on the printed ballot, and the Secretary of State lists her, as Jenn Mack, among four certified write-in candidates for governor. Her name will not be printed on the November 3 ballot; voters who want her write it in. Her campaign site says she built a career in technology and chose to run as an independent after seeing both parties put politics ahead of people.
Her platform, under the slogan "Faith. Family. Freedom.", has 18 planks, from property taxes and border security to water and the power grid. Its "Foreign Interests" plank reads: "Texas will be Texas first. Jenn will defend Texas sovereignty, security, land, and liberties against foreign interests that put outside powers ahead of Texans." The plank's full text is about land purchases by China's ruling Communist Party and by corporations, foreign labor, cartels and the federal government. Nothing in the platform mentions Israel, Gaza or Palestinians, and we found nothing from her on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. An empty record carries no implication either way.
You are better placed to change this than we are. Ask her directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in her own words, which is worth more than anything we could write about her.
Research log
The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.
Every page named below was opened and read on 2026-09-26. Her campaign site's home page, its full issues page (all 18 planks) and its about page were read in full. She has held no office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks is hers, and a state office has no federal funding badge. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07).
Status
Certified write-in candidate for governor; her name is not printed on the November 3, 2026 ballot. The Texas Secretary of State's certified list of write-in candidates (2026-08-28) certifies the candidates on it "as properly-filed declared write-in candidates for statewide and district offices for the November 3, 2026 General Election", and lists for governor Edward Earl Giles, Jenn Mack, Jinghpaw Majoishingra and Mike Miller. The state's list of independent declarations of intent reads "Jenn Mack Raphoon Governor Harris Campaign"; she does not appear on its list of independent candidates' ballot applications. The printed ballot, per the ballot certification, carries three names for governor: Greg Abbott, Gina Hinojosa and Pat Dixon. Ballotpedia: "She is a write-in candidate in the general election on November 3, 2026." Her campaign site is headed "WRITE-IN CANDIDATE FOR TEXAS GOVERNOR".
U.S. military aid and weapons to the government of Israel
Nothing located, at any date. Neither her campaign site's 18 planks, nor her about page, nor her Ballotpedia survey answers mention Israel, Gaza, Palestinians or AIPAC.
U.S. aid to Palestinians
Nothing located, at any date.
Characterization of the conflict
Nothing located, at any date. Her platform's one general line on war reads: "Jenn is not anti-war; she is anti-senseless wars." It names no country.
Related rhetoric and lobbying
Nothing located about AIPAC or any other organization on this subject.
[Position, read 2026-09-26] She signed the Texas First Pledge on October 9, 2025, per the pledge's candidate page; her site says she "signed the Texas First Pledge and will defend Texas land, communities, and government from federal overreach and foreign influence." The pledge is about Texas sovereignty and names no foreign government.
Safety and antisemitism (context)
Nothing located.
What the campaign site and own pages say
[Position, read 2026-09-26] Her issues page lists 18 planks: property tax and government spending, foreign interests, data centers, public schools and parental rights, the border, Texas sovereignty and foreign influence, faith and family, healthcare, big tech, life, government transparency, the power grid, human trafficking, jobs and energy, land rights, public safety, gun rights, and water and rural Texas.
[Position, read 2026-09-26] Its Foreign Interests plank, in summary: "Texas will be Texas first. Jenn will defend Texas sovereignty, security, land, and liberties against foreign interests that put outside powers ahead of Texans." Its full text lists "the CCP and corporations buying up strategic Texas land" and "foreign governments and even our own federal government working against Texas interests" among the threats it names, says cartels "have merged with radical Islamist networks, Hezbollah-linked cells, foreign terror financiers, and Chinese chemical suppliers.", and closes with a plan that includes: "Protect Texas land, infrastructure, and communities from strategic purchases by the CCP, corporations, or other foreign interests." None of it names Israel, Gaza or Palestinians.
[Position, 2025] Her Ballotpedia survey answers name "foreign influence" among the things Texas was not built on, and say of border security: "if Texas falls, America falls, and then the free world." No country is named.
Her about page says she "spent years turning complicated operations into success stories, then left to commit to this campaign"; her home page says she built "a career in technology".
The race
The printed ballot carries Greg Abbott (R), Gina Hinojosa (D) and Pat Dixon (L); she is one of four certified write-ins for governor. Ballotpedia's race page lists the same seven. Each of the three printed candidates has a card.

Her campaign's Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/jennfortexas/), YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@jennfortexas) and X (https://x.com/IamtheGlitch_TX) accounts, and a personal Facebook profile her site links (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561657599732), were not read for this card.
A Dallas Express report her site links (https://dallasexpress.com/metroplex/protesters-counterprotesters-face-off-outside-plano-mosque-on-9-11-anniversary/) was not opened; see below.
Not on the card, and why
Her platform's and survey's passages on Islam in Texas ("efforts to Islamify Texas and usurp our Constitution and culture"; "islamification of our state"), and the Dallas Express report her site links, which her site summarizes as quoting her at a September 11 protest outside a Plano mosque on "Islamic extremism": about Muslims in Texas, not about what the United States sends or about the Israel and Palestine conflict.
The Foreign Interests plank's line on "Hezbollah-linked cells": a claim about cartels and security inside Texas, not about the conflict or U.S. aid.
