Ken Paxton (R), Texas attorney general and the 2026 Republican nominee for U.S. Senate after defeating Sen. John Cornyn by 28 points (64%-36%) in the May 26, 2026 runoff, has no federal voting record on aid or weapons for Israel. As attorney general he built a sustained record enforcing and defending Texas's 2017 anti-the boycott-divestment-sanctions movement (organized boycotts of Israel) contracting law (H.B. 89) and related divestment statutes: he opposed injunctions against the law in federal court (January 2019), joined a 13-state letter pressing Unilever over Ben & Jerry's boycott of Israel (November 2021), won Fifth Circuit rulings preserving the laws (April and July 2023), and issued enforcement guidance covering the Israel-boycott contract prohibition (October 2023). As of July 23, 2026, no statement by Paxton on U.S. military aid to Israel, conditioning of aid, Gaza leverage, or UNRWA was found; his Senate campaign issues page does not mention Israel, and its foreign-policy plank criticizes politicians 'concerned with sending billions to foreign countries' without naming Israel, while his campaign told Jewish Insider in February 2026 that 'AG Paxton has been a fierce friend of Israel.'
