Roger Williams is a Republican who has represented Texas's 25th District, which runs from Tarrant County in the east to Callahan County in the west, since January 2013. He chairs the House Committee on Small Business and sits on Financial Services. He faces Democrat Dione Sims on November 3, 2026.

His congressional biography, last updated in June 2026, lists always standing with Israel among the seven pillars he says he prioritizes as a legislator. Beyond that phrase, nothing found has him stating a position of his own on the weapons and money the United States sends to the government of Israel. His office issued no statement on the 2024 supplemental bills or on the July 2026 amendment vote, and his press releases, newsletters, columns and videos were read back through 2015 without turning one up. The nearest thing on the record is from June 2021, when he cosponsored a bill that would have required the executive branch to redirect foreign assistance funds appropriated for Gaza to replenish Israel's Iron Dome interceptors.

What he has said most recently on the subject concerns aid going the other way. On September 22, 2025 he led a letter to Mike Waltz, the United States ambassador to the United Nations, saying that Hamas, with the help of the United Nations, had manufactured the perception of a famine in Gaza to serve as a false flag to undermine the reputations of both the United States and Israel. The letter says the United Nations demanded that its relief agency for Palestinian refugees handle the distribution of aid despite that agency allowing Hamas officials to hoard resources, and that the United Nations has refused to work with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. Three colleagues signed it with him. In his own words in the release announcing the letter, he said: "The United States stands with our biggest ally in the Middle East, Israel, and must make clear that terrorism cannot masquerade as humanitarianism."

On campus protest he has legislated. In May 2024 he introduced the No Student Loan Forgiveness for Antisemitic Criminals Act, which would bar any student arrested for engaging in antisemitic activities from having loans forgiven through federal income-driven repayment, saying that Jewish and Israeli students are unable to attend class or even walk through campus without the threat of violence or hate-fueled rhetoric. Further back, in a January 2017 column for Townhall reproduced on his own site, he wrote that Israel is fighting for survival every single day in a neighborhood of nations that want to see it disappear, and recalled telling the House two years earlier that those who do not believe in a United States moral obligation to protect Israel should consider the strategic one.
