Vicente Gonzalez

Democrat · U.S. House, Texas District 34

Gonzalez welcomed supplemental funding for Israel’s Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Iron Beam in April 2024, saying "The world needs American leadership now more than ever". He has said nothing located about U.S. aid to Palestinians.

Gonzalez represents Texas’s 34th District in the Rio Grande Valley and is running for re-election.

His current-position statement on U.S. weapons is an endorsement of the 2024 supplemental. On April 29, 2024 he said the package "will empower us to continue supporting our allies in Ukraine and Taiwan and provide additional funding for Israel’s Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Iron Beam defense systems", adding that "The world needs American leadership now more than ever".

In July 2026 he defended U.S. and Israeli defence technology cooperation against constituents who read it as a merger of forces, calling it "an agreement to share technologies, which we have with several other nations AND have already had with Israel for several decades" and "nothing more than an update and renewal due to changing technology".
