Shelley Moore Capito
Shelley Moore Capito (R) is the Republican incumbent and 2026 general-election nominee for U.S. Senate in West Virginia. She is a consistent supporter of U.S. arms sales and military assistance to the government of Israel and has opposed every effort to condition or block them. Across nine Senate Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (JRDs) of arms sales to Israel from November 2024 through April 2026, Capito voted 'Nay' on every motion to discharge, i.e., she voted against advancing each resolution that would have blocked the sale, thereby supporting continued weapons transfers. She co-sponsored the Stand with Israel Act to cut U.S. funding to UN agencies that restrict Israel's participation, and has repeatedly pledged 'unwavering support' for Israel in floor speeches and statements.
