But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check

Jereme Lance Peters

Libertarian · U.S. House, Arizona District 6
–
How this mark works

We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.

See a dash? Ask the candidate where they stand, then send us their answer and we'll review it and update the mark. Or volunteer to help review candidates.

No recorded votes on the bills we track. We have not finished reviewing this candidate's public record yet.

Nothing located as of October 2026 has Peters taking a position on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, or on U.S. aid to Palestinians. The guides and reports naming him record his candidacy but nothing he has said.

Deep Dive

Jereme Lance Peters, of Tucson, is the Libertarian nominee in Arizona's 6th District. He advanced from the Libertarian primary on July 21, 2026 and faces Representative Juan Ciscomani, the Republican, JoAnna Mendoza, the Democrat, and Gary Swing of the Green Party on November 3. He has never held office, so there are no votes on this record.

This is a genuinely empty record, on these questions and on every other. No campaign website for him was found. He has not completed Ballotpedia's 2026 candidate survey, the League of Women Voters' guide shows "Candidate has not yet responded." under each of its questions for him, and the iVoterGuide and Arizona Mirror guides carry nothing from him either. He was not among the candidates in the district's September 10 debate. His campaign's Facebook and Instagram accounts and a personal X account are listed on his research page for anyone who can open them.

You are better placed to change this than we are. Ask Peters directly, or at a candidate forum, and send us the reply: it goes on this page in his own words, which is worth more than anything we could write about him.

Research log

The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.

Every page named below was opened and read on 2026-10-06 unless the entry says otherwise. No campaign website was found: Ballotpedia lists only a campaign Instagram account and a personal Facebook account, AZ Luminaria lists a personal X account and campaign Facebook and Instagram accounts, and the Arizona Mirror's guide shows no campaign site for him. Bands: Position (2024-01-26 onward), Reaction window (2023-10-07 to 2024-01-25), Earlier record (before 2023-10-07), Undated. Undated pages are recorded on the date we read them. Peters has never held office, so none of the congressional votes this site tracks is his, and no funding from the committees this site tracks is recorded on this record. Nothing located on this subject falls in the reaction window.

U.S. military aid and weapons to the government of Israel

  • Nothing located, at any date.

U.S. aid to Palestinians

  • Nothing located, at any date.

Characterization of the conflict

  • Nothing located, at any date.
  • [Undated, read 2026-10-06] His iVoterGuide profile lists "Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?" with "Did not answer". All 32 of its questions read "Did not answer", so the blank is a fact about the guide's coverage of him, not a choice about this question.

Israel-related rhetoric and lobbying

  • Nothing located, at any date.

Safety and antisemitism

  • Nothing located, at any date.

What the guides record

  • [Read 2026-10-06] Ballotpedia: "Jereme Peters has not yet completed Ballotpedia's 2026 Candidate Connection survey." It records $10,500 raised and $10,500 spent by his campaign.
  • [Read 2026-10-06] The League of Women Voters' Vote411 guide for the race asks seven questions, on congressional oversight, checks and balances, the cost of living, the economy, the debt, immigration and ethics; under his name each answer reads "Candidate has not yet responded." None of the seven asks about foreign policy.
  • [Read 2026-10-06] The Arizona Mirror's voter guide lists him as the Libertarian candidate with no biography and "No response." on every topic.
  • [2026-06-02] AZ Luminaria's profile of him, last modified June 2, 2026, gives his party, office and social media accounts and nothing else.
  • [2026-09-10] Fox 10's report on the district's debate, organized by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission, says only Ciscomani and Mendoza took part, and of Peters: "Not much is known about Peters, but according to his nomination papers, Peters is a 38-year-old who resides in Tucson." (The report spells his first name Jeremy in that heading.)
  • [Read 2026-10-06] The Arizona Ballot Guide's race page marks him "Limited data". Its summaries are machine-drafted, by its own notice, and are not used.

The race

  • [Read 2026-10-06] Ballotpedia says "Incumbent Juan Ciscomani (R), JoAnna Mendoza (D), Gary Swing (G), Jereme Peters (L), and Michael Dorland (Independent) are running in the general election for U.S. House Arizona District 6 on November 3, 2026"; Fox 10 describes Dorland as a write-in candidate.

Not on the card, and why

  • The blank iVoterGuide, Vote411 and Arizona Mirror entries: guide coverage, not a position.
  • Fox 10's remark that little is known about him: a reporter's description, not his words.
