Hamadeh cosponsored a June 2026 resolution that would replace the $3.8 billion a year in U.S. military aid to the government of Israel with joint weapons development, coproduction and mutual investment. In 2024 he wrote that his support for the State of Israel does not waver.

Abe Hamadeh has represented Arizona's 8th District, the West Valley from Glendale and Peoria north to Anthem, since January 2025, and he sits on the House Armed Services Committee. He is running for re-election on November 3, 2026 against Bernadette Greene-Placentia. On June 3, 2026 he and Rep. Marlin Stutzman of Indiana submitted H.Res. 1339, which asks for a new United States-Israel agreement replacing traditional military assistance with joint defense codevelopment, coproduction and mutual investment. The resolution states the present arrangement in its own text: about $3.8 billion a year under a memorandum of understanding signed in 2016 and running to 2028. A week before it was filed the two men met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, and Netanyahu sent Stutzman a letter welcoming the shift from aid to partnership. Ynet reported that Hamadeh said after returning from Israel that the relationship is moving from “aid to trade” and toward “true collaboration as strategic partners”.

The rest of that fortnight shows what he wants in the money's place. The Armed Services Committee marked up the fiscal 2027 defense bill on June 4, 2026, and his own office's list of the amendments he offered and backed that day includes expanding the United States-Israel counter-tunnel partnership. The bill also carries a section setting up a United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative, which Jewish Insider describes as enhancing technological cooperation and sharing between the two countries, separate from the aid talks and which Time reported would draw the two militaries closer even as direct funding is phased down. Our research found no statement from Hamadeh about that section. In March 2025 he told Jewish Insider that he wanted to speed up United States foreign military sales, which he said move too slowly and push allies and partners to buy from other countries.

What he says about the alliance itself has not moved since before he took office. Writing in Jewish News Syndicate on February 4, 2024, he said he does not waver in and will never apologize for his steadfast support for the State of Israel, the IDF and the people of Israel, and in the same piece he faulted politicians who, once elected, cave to anti-Israel pressure from donors and lobbying groups. In an opinion piece for The Jerusalem Post on December 8, 2025 he wrote that Congress has an obligation to continue supporting Israel and to do it in a way that transcends partisan divides. In April 2025 he introduced the PEACE Act with Rep. Brad Schneider, an Illinois Democrat, to build training on the Abraham Accords into the State Department. Speaking to Jewish Insider in March 2025 he placed the destruction of the Gaza Strip on Hamas, and in February 2025 he cosponsored a bill to bar United States funding for UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees.

As a teenager he wrote the opposite. During his 2022 run for Arizona attorney general the Phoenix New Times reported that in posts on a Ron Paul message board in 2008 he had argued for cutting United States funding to Israel, alongside antisemitic remarks he has since disowned. Asked about the posts by The Daily Wire in March 2024, he said his worldview had changed dramatically since joining the military and that Israel has no bigger ally than him.
