Campbell is running for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky on the Kentucky Party line, on a platform he describes as anti-corruption, anti-war and pro-Kentucky. His position on U.S. weapons and money comes from his campaign launch announcement of November 5, 2025, which states: "As Senator, he will immediately get to work on diplomatic solutions to end the genocide in Gaza. He will build a bloc to cease funding that fuels the forever war machine and stop exporting weapons essential to national defense."
Two things about that sentence are worth stating plainly. It is written in the third person, so it is the campaign speaking rather than a quotation from him. And the closing phrase, "stop exporting weapons essential to national defense", is ambiguous as written: it can be read as stopping the export of such weapons, or as stopping exports other than those. It is reproduced here as published rather than tidied up.
At the Fancy Farm Picnic on August 1, 2026 he criticized establishment foreign policy, saying opponents want to send Kentuckians' children across the globe to die in wars for a foreign empire. A candidate position profile records that he supports a free Palestine, the release of all hostages, and an end to the violence.
