But What Can You Do? tracks where 2026 candidates stand on U.S. weapons and funding for the government of Israel. How we check

How this mark works
We track key votes on sending U.S. weapons and money to the government of Israel. A check means every tracked vote they cast came down against sending more, on the side of peace and de-escalation. A question mark means a mixed record: they sided with sending up to half of the time. An X means they voted to send more weapons and money in over half of their tracked votes, even as the way those weapons and dollars were being used became more and more obvious. At exactly half, money this election cycle from a lobbying group we track, or an endorsement from a group that backs sending weapons, makes it an X. Only votes actually cast are counted. Where a candidate has no recorded votes on these bills, the mark comes instead from a reviewed reading of their public record (money from the lobbying groups we track, endorsements, and their own words since January 26, 2024). There an X also covers fully backing the conduct of the war by the government of Israel without significant reservations, and a question mark also covers speaking about Israel without saying clearly where they stand on U.S. weapons and funding. A dash means No Position Found: we found nothing in their own words about Israel, Gaza or the war.
Two reviewers, reading the public record as a whole, agree: In his own words he calls what is happening in Gaza a genocide carried on with U.S. support and says it has to stop, with nothing saying the weapons should keep flowing. Reviewed by hand on 2026-10-01. This candidate has no recorded tracked floor votes.
What he did not do is name a bill or a transfer he would stop. He called the conduct a genocide, said American support sustains it, and said it has to stop, and this card does not read more specificity into that than the words carry. He also told the session how much of the campaign trail the subject occupies: he called it an important issue to him while saying that only around one voter in twenty he had met ranked it among their top five.
Separately, and kept separate here, he wrote: "I haven't accepted money from a single PAC, and I will never take from AIPAC." A pledge about campaign funding is not by itself a position on what the United States sends. His own campaign site was checked and carries nothing on these questions, and nothing located has him addressing U.S. humanitarian aid for Palestinians.
The money
Checked the five lobbying groups we track; no direct 2026 support found
2026 support from the five lobbying groups we track
Nothing recorded (as of 2026-09-27) from the five lobbying groups we track; earlier cycles and earmarked donations not yet tracked.
Support-only OpenFEC data. Opposition independent expenditures are excluded.
In their words
“Yes, Israel, with the support from the US, is continuing a genocide in Gaza. It's sickening. Now, it's happening again on 6 or more fronts in the Middle East. It has to stop.”
“My opponent is one of the top AIPAC politicians and is also supported by Lockheed Martin. So he has the backing of the people building the bombs and then dropping them.”
The notes behind this card: what we looked at, what we found, and where each item came from.
U.S. military aid and weapons to Israel
[Position, 2026-03-24] Public question session on Reddit under his own campaign account. Opened and confirmed word for word, with the author of each passage checked before anything was attributed. Quoted, from the account u/conrad4congress: "Yes, Israel, with the support from the US, is continuing a genocide in Gaza. It's sickening. Now, it's happening again on 6 or more fronts in the Middle East. It has to stop. My opponent is one of the top AIPAC politicians and is also supported by Lockheed Martin. So he has the backing of the people building the bombs and then dropping them. It's an important issue to me, but I haven't met many folks on the campaign trail, maybe 5% who have that as a top 5 issue. I believe that no matter where you live, what you believe, or what you look like, everyone on this planet should be extended the same human rights. And we have to hold people accountable who violate those human rights."
⚠ He names no bill, no transfer and no figure. The card carries the characterization and the demand that it stop, and does not sharpen either into a stated arms-embargo position. ⚠ **Wrong-speaker check on a threaded page, and it mattered.** Two passages on the same page that a summarizing read could easily have attributed to him belong to other commenters: "the US is giving resources to Israel ... used to assist in the murder, rape, and terror of Palestinian people" was written by u/MineralMan105, and "we've dropped $25,000,000,000 on a chud war for Israel in the past two weeks" by u/T_Gamer-mp4. Neither is his and neither is used. The question he was answering was itself put by u/crit_boy.
[Position, read 2026-08-20] His campaign site's vision page was read in full and carries nothing on Israel, Gaza, Palestinians, foreign aid or foreign policy. Recorded because the own-site check is required and because the site is not where his position lives.
U.S. aid to Palestinians
Nothing located as a distinct position. The passage above names human rights generally and does not address humanitarian funding.
Characterization of the conflict
[Position, 2026-03-24] The quoted passage above is the characterization: a genocide in Gaza, sustained with United States support, and spreading across the region. Confirmed word for word from his own account.
Related rhetoric and lobbying
[Position, 2026-03-24] Same session, same account, confirmed word for word: "I haven't accepted money from a single PAC, and I will never take from AIPAC." Recorded as a fundraising pledge and deliberately not written up as a weapons or funding position, per the standing rule that the two must not be conflated.
[Consulted] A second session on a Louisiana forum, at https://www.reddit.com/r/Louisiana/comments/1s1nglw/im_conrad_cable_and_im_running_for_congress/, was offered. It returns a one-word shell on the routes that answer for this host and was not read; nothing is claimed from it.
Two Facebook addresses were offered, https://www.facebook.com/conrad4congress/ and https://www.facebook.com/jamieforlouisiana/posts/theyve-got-the-big-money-corporate-donors-but-thats-okay-weve-got-you-our-latest/942999495474835/. The first is his own page and the second is another candidate's. Both return 400 to our requests and are treated as unread.
Safety and antisemitism (context)
Nothing located. His campaign discusses food safety, workplace safety and gun safety, none of which touches these questions.
Race and status context
Qualified on Louisiana's certified list for the all-candidate November election in the 4th District, with a December runoff between the top two if nobody clears half the vote. Five candidates are on the ballot. Per Ballotpedia and his campaign biography.
He has held no federal office, so there are no recorded votes on this card.
