Michael Minogue
Minogue's campaign platform covers state spending, taxes, housing, jobs and public safety; foreign policy is not on it. Nothing located has him, as a candidate or before, saying what the United States should send the government of Israel, or addressing U.S. aid to Palestinians.
Minogue built and ran Abiomed, the Danvers heart-pump company later bought by Johnson & Johnson, and served as an Army infantry officer during Operation Desert Storm. He won the Republican primary for governor on September 1, 2026 and faces Gov. Maura Healey in November.
His platform page, "We Can Do Better", runs to four headings: accountability, affordability, opportunity and keeping communities safe. Foreign policy is not among them, and his campaign biography, WBUR's November 2025 question-and-answer interview, the Swampscott Tides' August 2026 profile and GBH's primary-night profile carry nothing from him on U.S. weapons or money for the government of Israel, on U.S. aid to Palestinians, or on the conflict itself.
What does exist is context. The family foundation he runs with his wife lists the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism among the organizations it has given to, alongside Catholic schools, veterans' groups and children's charities. A grant is not a position on what the United States sends. His March 2026 statement on the U.S. strikes on Iran did not mention Israel or Gaza; it is on the research page.
